This Privacy Policy explains how Candy Learning ("we", "our", "us") handles information when you use our app. We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of children and all our users. We do not sell data, show ads, or track children.

01 Intended Audience & Families Policy

Candy Learning is a children-focused educational app designed for children aged 3–12. We strictly comply with the Google Play Families Policy and COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

  • We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from children.
  • We do not include any third-party advertising.
  • We use a "Parental Gate" for all external links and in-app purchases.

02 Information We Collect and Why

We collect only the minimum data necessary for the app to function. This data is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing.

  • Purchase History: Collected via RevenueCat and Google Play Billing solely to verify premium subscription status.
  • Anonymous Device ID: A Firebase-generated anonymous ID to sync learning progress across sessions — no name, email, or personal info required.
  • Learning Progress: Points, achievements, and unlocked levels stored locally and in secure cloud storage to provide a continuous educational experience.

03 Data Security and Sharing

  • Encryption in Transit: All data is transmitted over secure encrypted connections (HTTPS/SSL).
  • No Data Selling: We do not sell any user data — ever.
  • No Ad Networks: We do not use any advertising SDKs or tracking libraries.
  • Service Providers: Data is processed by Google Firebase and RevenueCat solely for app functionality.

04 Storage and Services Used

  • Local Storage: SharedPreferences on your device for offline progress.
  • Cloud Storage: Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore) for progress syncing.
  • Media Storage: Firebase Storage for learning assets (images, audio).
  • Subscription Handling: RevenueCat for managing premium access.

05 Data Deletion and Retention

Since we do not require user accounts with personal information (no email, no name), most data is stored anonymously.

  • You can reset all local progress within the app's parent settings at any time.
  • To request full deletion of anonymous cloud data, contact us at support@candylearning.app with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
  • Deletion requests are processed within 7 business days.

06 Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We take children's privacy seriously. Candy Learning is designed from the ground up to be safe for children:

  • No personal data is collected from children under 13.
  • No behavioural advertising is shown to any user.
  • Parents can contact us at any time to review, correct, or delete any data associated with their child's device.

07 Policy Updates

We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy. We encourage parents to review this page regularly.
